Goo Fish

Good Fish: Sustainable Seafood Recipes from the Pacific Coast

It's sort of funny that it's only a "d" that separates my new book from being Goo Fish.

That's all I have to say.

Except for three more things:

Thing 1: it's available for preorder if you're the plan ahead sort. If you're more of a touchie feelie kind of person, than wait until May 1st and go and touch and feelie it at Elliott Bay Bookstore and support the little guy.

Thing 2: I dedicated the book to my Dad, my #1 fan and a reader of this blog. Go Dad!

Thing 3: An author I really respect, Brad Matsen, wrote a beautiful foreword to the book. In a strange bit of coincidence, Brad wrote a book on the Titanic (among 20 other titles) and knew about my late grandfather, Martin J. Norris (also an author), who was a maritime judge who presided over the landmark Titanic court case and ruled that, despite the sentimental nature of the tragedy, the owners of the ship had the right to salvage any worth from the wreckage when it was discovered in 1985. It's a small ocean.

Congratulations on your book. You've gotta be thrilled.

I remember when my book came out (subject: marketing for women) I was out of my mind excited. Most people haven't been through the process and so don't understand why it's such a honkin' big deal.

like starting a restaurant or having a baby. Only no health inspection or messy clean up for the next 18 years.... I'll be feelieing it for sure!
